In-Text Advertisement with Infolinks
What is In-Text Advertising? In-Text advertising inserts text link advertisements within the content of your website, usually in the form of double-underline hyperlinks. Upon a hover of the mouse, a floating informational bubble opens with content from an advertiser. If clicked, the visitor is directed to the advertiser’s landing page and you earn advertising revenue; otherwise, when the mouse is moved away from the hyperlink, the bubble disappears. How do the earnings that you can make with Infolinks compare to other in-text advertising services like Kontera?
Also, is there any slow down to page loading due to serving these types of in-text links on pages?

Do the companies that supply these ads demand a certain level of traffic before they advertise on a website?

This can be good alternative to Kontera if they pay more per clicks, but there’s only one way to find out

not a bad way to advertise, but it can cost you just like text links. If you have tons of cash, go for it!

Hmm personally I do think they distract from the content of a site – I tend to trust siets less when I see infolink type adverts, I’d rather have the adverts above or on the side, then they might catch my eye buy they wont interfere with the body of the webpage I’m looking at.

@reem: same here, infolinks revenue is decreasing the drop is huge!
infolinks works like a scam: they bring webmaster in their network by giving good money at the beginning . webmasters are happy with the good money and make positive reviews which bring in new sites for infolinks.
but after a while, they just cut teh money! Infolinks is a real scam!
if you’re wondering how they’re making money just check the kind of ads they’re showing: mostly ads for thefreedictionary or for infolinks’ google custom search page. basically they’re doing arbitrage! infolinks is like a parasite stealing money from webmasters!

Don’t praise infolinks just because you display them. I am using them too but I am not happy with them. In fact I am not happy with any inline advertising network. They pays you good in the start but not afterwards. My blog’s tarffic is thriced from the time when I started using infolinks but the revenue from infolinks is the same as earlier only.

I’ve tried advertising on these contextual programs before and they don’t really have a good ROI.. maybe its not good for webmasters too
